Sarah Alvarez Sarah Alvarez was born and raised in north Georgia, and has danced since age two. She trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern dance for 16 years with Buford School of Ballet in Buford, Georgia. She was a trainee with Ballet Magnificat! in Jackson Mississippi for 2 years after attending their summer dance intensive for 8 consecutive summers. Sarah moved to DFW in 2020 to dance with Ingredients Dance Company and trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and leadership skills. She also spent some time dancing with Open Sky Arts Collective and currently continues dancing by taking adult classes at Live Arts Conservatory. Outside of dancing, she has a psychology degree, works full time, and is newly married!

Sarah joined the Sparks Academy staff in the summer of 2022 and has taught contemporary and ballet along with choreographing for the company and recreational programs. This year, Sarah is teaching ballet, technique, and hip hop and is one of our directors for the Sparklers petite company.
