Aubree Sparks has been dancing for the past 13 years and of those 13 years, she has taught and choreographed for 10 years. She was a part of the Boswell Pure Gold dance team from 2009-2010, after which she started dancing in studio. From there, she began assisting in dance classes at her studio to gain more knowledge in the dance world. She began her teaching career with Destination Dance and Cheer in 2011. She was an assistant teacher, working her way up to directing the competition teams. Once she graduated from high school, she attended college at TCC where she was a part of their dance program. She was an assistant teacher for TCC dance classes from 2013-2014. During that time she studied and learned a variety of styles which included Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Modern, Bollywood, and some Hip Hop. She traveled to Manhattan New York to study at Broadway Dance Center, Steps On Broadway, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Aubree received her Associate of Arts with an emphasis in Dance in spring of 2015. She took over Destination Dance and Cheer in 2017, renaming the studio The Sparks Academy. She has created many national winning routines through the years. Aubree currently instructors and directs the recreational dance classes and competition teams at The Sparks Academy. Aubree has been involved in community events around the metroplex such as choreographing a talent show routine for the Fifth graders at a local elementary school, judging drill team auditions for local high schools, providing classes and choreography for local drill teams, and having her choreography showcased in local high school and college shows. As a teacher, leader, choreographer, Aubree tries to learn what each and every student needs are to allow for them to gain the most knowledge in dance as well as be a leader/role model that each of her students can count on.
